Thermodynamics I
An introduction to classical thermodynamics
Welcome to the course website for Thermodynamics I. Here you will find the course overview, the plan of topics, the learning modules, and how the course is assessed.
Thermodynamics is the science of energy: how it is stored, how it moves, and how it changes from one form into another. Over the semester you will build the tools to analyze engineering systems that produce, use, or transform energy, from a simple piston and cylinder to turbines, compressors, and refrigerators, and to reason about what these systems can and cannot do.
